An Unfinished Life is a good movie. Very surprised it hasn't been recognized often as such. Thanks for the recommendation, Luc. (Yes, I liked the bear)

Watched Cloverfield as well. My take: I think the ones who have said it's a great movie and all that are the ones who love the Godzilla movies, which aren't my kind of movies. But I will say I was impressed with the visual effects they managed to pull off with just a hand held camera. I liked it...but not enough to recommend. This is a definite download before you buy kind of movie (or rent before you buy).

Whenever people ask me why I dislike 300 I try to explain how it felt like George Bush wrote it and they don't get what I'm talking about. No doubt as an Australian you know exactly what I'm talking about.

Even though I'm so out of touch with the politics of Australia, I fucking ENJOY The Chasers War on Everything. Hilarious.

Mate their pretty unbelievable aren't they, haha. They have taken a break from producing their TV show
for awhile so that they can stay fresh. some of them are doing stand up routines and some of the others are doing radio etc. I'm looking forward to their return on TV possibly later this year.

That episode where they gate crashed the security at the APEC Conference was unbelievable, they drove straight through everything and the cops and security guys waved them on all the way to Bush's hotel and one of them dressed as Osama!!!!!

Damn that was funny....roflmao

@Garrey: Glad you liked Unfinished Life. I was wondering about Cloverfeild and You've confirmed a nagging suspicion I had about it.
I just finished watching two movies over the last couple of nights both good and worth the trouble to DL.
The Bank Job another pretty taught British drama based on a true story and an absolute ripper of a film that is getting 4 and 5 stars everywhere it's shown and it's called Lars and The Real Girl.
This is the sort of North American movie I love and it's a real achievement for the writer and director. Oscar material too in the lead role of Ryan Gosling playing Lars, a well crafted film that doesn't collapse into schmaltzy crap. You'll have a couple of moments where you'll go: "Nah, nah he's not really gonna do that is he?" and of course he does...lol
Can't tell you too much about it without spoiling it for you, have a peek at it I don't think you'll regret it.

Cheers.

I watched Unfinished Life.  Dude was dwelling way too hard on his son, even so much that it wasn't believable, and kind of like "get over it so the story can progress to the far too predictable ending."  Still, I enjoyed it.  That damn bear.

If for some stupid reason you haven't seen Lucky Number Slevin, go watch it now. I forgot all about it. One of my top ten favorite movies.

My favorite movies would be Hot Rod, Mr Woodcock, Mr Brooks, The Mist and Trailer Park Boys. Cloverfield was great, except the damn annoying hand camera. Lions for Lambs is kind of lame, it could be a good introduction to another movie (with some action). Vantage Point was quite cool, somewhat weird with the 8 different vantage points repeating thing at the start.

Cloverfield was pretty badass on the big screen, but when I rented it for my girlfriend to see, it was a little ehh.  There Will Be Blood was awesome and I'm surprised it hasn't been mentioned.  And yes, Lucky Number Slevin is in my top 10 at least, if not higher.

New indiana jones? I saw it last night, and although I was entertained, half the shit didn't make any sense. I had more fun talking and laughing about the movie afterwards than I did watching it. Go see it

I am a huge Batman fanatic and I absolutely loved the Dark Knight. I couldn't have asked for a better performance from Heath Ledger... the movie was amazing. I can't wait to watch it again.

I think I'm the only one who still posts on this thread...
